Il Piano stands in solidarity with the American Civil Liberties Union, which protects the freedoms of all Americans. The ACLU opposes attempts to overstep the bounds of personal privacy in the name of national security or by beliefs arbitrarily opposed on people who do not follow them.

Il Piano stands in solidarity with the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and the One Wisconsin Now committee that are trying to stop the senseless destruction of everything worthwhile in our home state. Il Piano further supports the movements to recall Governor Walker and his Republican Senate cronies.

It should not be just a few people who must stand in “Solidarity” with those fighting for Democracy in Libya, Syria, & Yemen- it should be everyone, those who value and cherish their freedoms, the rights that we as a nation have, when people around the world can’t say and experience the exact thing. The ACLU- if it was not for them, where would our freedoms stand today?

    • Exactly. I think the world’s freedom and justice movements should be much more interconnected, so they can support and raise awareness for each other around the world. I may address this in another post.
